Agria is one of the most suitable potatoes for home fries. This variety offers a huge production. The tubers of Agria are large sized; both skin and the flesh colour are yellow. It offers a good keeping quality.
Maturity: Medium late.
Dry matter: 20-22%
Seed treatment: Pre-sprouting is advisable or a heat treatment will increase the tubers. It should not be in too cold soils.
Cultivation: This variety is high resistant to herbicide Sencor and moderate to mildiu. The tuber resistance is quite good. Agria has a rather good resistance to mechanical damage so mechanical harvest is fine. This variety has quite a long dormancy period and can be stored for a long(er) period at 6º. It needs constant irrigation to prevent misshapen potatoes and mange.
Fertilisation : It will require less nitrogen than standard to get drier tubers.
